Tailgating, our Favorite Season

fried catfish It is true. We geek out in August when football is back on TV. Then here comes September. Saints and LSU games every weekend.

We’ve been having fun with planning our weekend menus (see photo of frying fish in the driveway.) Plus we have gotten a little more creative with our cooking lately.

New Orleans Saints home opener vs. Atlanta Falcons menu:
- Fried wild caught Louisiana catfish nuggets
- Boudin balls with homemade remoulade sauce
- Dirty bird saucy wings

 

 

 

 

 

It was a great party and we had NO LEFTOVERS. Really thought we’d have some snacks to warm for Monday Night Football, but the body needed a salad anyway ;-) Screen Shot 2013-09-14 at 10.35.06 PM

Our Saints beat the Dirty Birds in the final moments of the game, and made it all taste just a bit better!
